What is the maximum number of people you can take on a tour?
We take a maximum of 6 people per tour to minimise the impact on the environment and to ensure a quality experience for all.
Is there an age limit?
We are not able to take people under the age of 8 on the tour for insurance and safety reasons.
I have limited mobility - will I manage on your tour?
Our tours are suitable for all levels of mobility and do not involve walking. The majority of our tours are from a Landrover Defender and we have a step to help you access our vehicle. If you require further information on accessibility, please give us a call.
Where should we meet you for our tour?
We meet our guests at the Braemar Mews (AB35 5YL) opposite the Fife Arms Hotel in the centre of the village. We would recommend that you park at the car park at Balnellan Road (AB35 5YE), which also has public toilets.
We would appreciate if you could be punctual so that we do not keep other clients waiting.
What should I bring on a tour?
In Scotland you can experience all four seasons in one day – we recommend sensible footwear and extra warm layers. Other than that, you won’t require anything on our tours, although a camera will give you the opportunity to record some of the highlights of your day.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.
I’m particularly interested in photography. Do you offer specialist tours?
Steven Rennie is a professional photographer and joint owner of Braemar Highland Experience. If you are interested in a photography tour with Steven, please just give us a call.
A 4x4 tour sounds quite dramatic - should I worry?
Our tours take place at a sedate pace – on hill roads we don’t travel at more than ten miles an hour. So while you should experience an adrenaline rush, it is only likely to be because you’ve seen a herd of stags, or a golden eagle soaring above.
I don't have a PayPal account - how can I pay?
You don’t need to have a Paypal account to pay for our tours. PayPal can accept payments using a debit or credit card.
